GDG DevFest Mbale 2013 is a community-led event that has technical sessions centered around Google developer technologies and platforms. It is focused specifically on bringing together developer in the local developer community to teach, learn, code and network. This is going to be very special because GDG Mbale will be making two year in September! So we encourage you to share your apps during the Hack Fair to contribute to the pool as we mark two years! This event will take place on 28 Sept. 2013 at Islamic University in Uganda (Main campus) starting at 8:00am to 6:00PM

We there will be Google Swag and some give a ways for the lucky ones who will do the code labs to completion in the time given.
Getting our hands dirty with advanced Android code hands on.Meals will be provided for those not fasting and If-tar will be provided for those fasting.
We will handle Google Maps on Android and how to use JSON (Volley) like a pro. This Training will be held at ITech Lab facility in Nkoma located on the first floor of Kayira Complex Building. Come ready to have things done, so that you can make use of the testing devices on site. This will be a two day training with the first day, 26 July, focusing on Google Maps on Android and day two, 27 July, about doing client server communication using JSON.
For the two days, start is 9:00am and end is 5:00pm.

This is a large Developer Driven Event. There will be speaker sessions, Code labs about Android and Google Apps API. We wish to give you a soft touch on how to develop for Android and how to use various Google APIs on the world's first class and widely use mobile device platform. On this event there will be demos of some app that were submitted for Africa Android Challenge.
It will take place at Maisha Africa Hotel in Mbale on the 27 April 2013 from 9:00am to 4:00pm.
As usual Google will cater for the Swag, food and refreshments while Alcatel onetouch will cater for the Andriod Device for the winning app in the African Android Challenge.

We are organizing DevFestW, It is a community-led event that has technical sessions centered around Google developer technologies and platforms. It is focused specifically on bringing together women in the local developer community to teach, learn, code and network. Men are also part of DevFestW because it is tailored to the needs of the developer community in Mbale and Uganda. We encourage you all to book slots while they still lust, tell a friend about this cool event.
The event will take place 30 March 2013, from 9:00AM to 5:00PM. The venue is tentatively Kayira Complex Hotel.
